Rebecca Medlock "Beck" Dale, 84, died at her residence on Friday, March 16, 2012. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Harvey Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wesley Brown, Rev. Wesley Kaylor and Rev. Dick Gill officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

She was born August 4, 1927 in Sumter County, Georgia, daughter of the late W.V. Medlock and Grace Smith Medlock. She was married to the late Earl Dale of Terrell County and lived in the Pleasant Hill Community for the past 53 years.

Beck was a homemaker and an employee of Oxford Manufacturing Company until it closed. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, and she enjoyed making cakes for the public for many years. She was a loving wife and mother of five children.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Georgia Ann Medlock and a granddaughter, Jana Gause.

Survivors include two sons, Phil Dale (Janice) and Willard Dale (Mary) both of Dawson; three daughters, Jan Jones (Don) of Sasser, Terry Roberts (George) of Dawson, and Tammy Brown (Wesley) of Nicholls; a sister, Nancy Jo Alston (John) of Cataula; four brothers, Charles Medlock (Josephine), Bill Medlock (Sandra), Pat Medlock (Patsy), and Wade Medlock (Jo Dean), all of Plains; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
