Avery Britt Dillard

U.S. Veteran

Avery Britt Dillard, 46, of North Port, FL, formerly of Desoto, GA, was taken from us by an automobile accident on April 12, 2012 in North Port, FL. He was a member of McGregor Baptist Church of Ft. Myers, FL and served in many ministries there.

The memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Calvary Baptist Church in Leslie, GA, with Rev. William Hall officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Calvary Baptist Church.

Britt, the son of the late Everett (Curly) Dillard and Mary (Betty) Dillard of Desoto GA, was born inAmericus, GA May 8, 1965. He graduated from Southland Academy in 1983 and served in the United States Air Force from 1984 to 1988. After being discharged from the Air Force Britt relocated to Hendersonville, NC, where he was employed by Daniel Construction. In 2001 Britt moved to Ft. Myers, FL and worked as masonry estimator for Sunshine Construction Company. In 2007 he moved once again to the Venice and North Port, FL area. At his passing he was employed as a subcontractor for Comcast Cable.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Everett G. Dillard, Jr. and grandmother, Mary Ellen Blackmon. Survivors include his twin daughters, Kaitlyn and Chloe Dillard, of Cape Coral, FL; his brother, Otis R. Tripp, Sr. of Dawson, GA; his sister, Laura T. Lamb of Berrien Center, MI; and his brother, Fenn Dillard and family of Jacksonville, FL.
